The following post also contains some helpful info about using my flickr page.  If you feel computer savvy already, it is probably not for you.  (Mom, this means it is for you.)

A few notes on Flickr:

I am aware that Flickr has its drawbacks as far as photo sharing goes.  It is not nearly as fast as the Facebook interface, for instance, and does not have as simple of an "album" feature.  In that way, it is less convenient for those without fast internet connections or spare time.  Also, you can't comment on the photos unless you have a flickr account yourself, which is unfortunate.  However, it does have its merits.

Browsing Suggestions

These are a few suggestions if you want to browse my photos without being bored out of your mind.
  • Most importantly, I suggest browsing photos by set.  Just clicking through the photostream is boring.
  • If you like a picture, view it in large size.  Many of the pictures are much more interesting this way.
  • There does not seem to be an easy way to return to the "sets" page once you've started one, so I suggest opening sets by using the Right-Click==>"Open in new window/tab" feature.  This can be accomplished from the sets page in flickr, or through the posted links.
  • If you have the time, I suggest using the "view as slideshow" feature, available from each set page, and from the links on each blog post.
  • If you are viewing the slideshow, I also suggest clicking the "Show Info" button, or under the options page, "Always show title and caption".  That is, if you want to see my fantastic captions.
  • I generally try to put new pictures at the front of each set, and new sets on the front of the page.  So if you've already seen a picture before, that probably means that's it for that set.
  • If for some crazy reason you want prints, they are easily available through Flickr.

Jackson-you are AWESOME! And I miss you! And I love the new pictures of the cute Chinese kids! I'm here looking at these after a long day of work in pediatrics. I just started my first pediatric clinical rotation in Marion, SC! Crazy. I'm enjoying being able to follow you on your blog. Keep up the good work! Hugs from Marion!
