His name is Charlie.
For awhile, he wasn't looking too healthy (although rather photogenic):
But he snapped out of it, and eventually came into a nice bloom. Hooray Charlie!

is there any equivalent to wushu in the US? Like jujitsu or something?
skype me!!!! i havent talked to you in forever!!!! i like your plant.
Wushu in the US usually takes on a number of different words, actually. Colloquially, we usually just say "Kung Fu", although in Chinese that can mean a lot of different things, and Wushu is more specifically martial arts.
But Wushu itself is actually divided into lots of styles. Basically, any time you see a Chinese kung fu movie, or hear anything silly like "The Way of the Monkey", it is some sort of Wushu. These days it is not really used for combat, but there is a mildly popular sport form.
Google "Wushu" and you'll find some good stuff on Wikipedia, if you feel the desire.
That is a beautiful flower! It is "lacier" than the mums we have in the states. I'm glad you have a flower.
I am in London with Claire. We are having a great time. London is cool, although quite rainy.
Love you, Mom
how's charlie doing these days? surviving the cold?
Well, Charlie's looking a little sadder lately, and I think his blooms are going to be off soon, but I don't think he's dead yet! (I don't think, anways...)
